Equivalence course

Studies are organised into 4 tuition units (TU) in the first and second semesters.

 

SEMESTER 1 (360 hrs over 12 weeks – 30 hrs a week)

TU 1 – French language (16 hrs a week – 192 hrs):

  • Language tools
  • Communicating in French
  • Cultural tuition

TU 2 – History of Western art and culture (6h30 hrs a week - 78 hrs):

  • Art, architecture, design history from the 15th to the 21st Century
  • Discover Cultural and Contemporary art spots in Europe 

TU 3 – Personal project and artistic practice (6 hrs a week - 72 hrs)

TU 4 – Themed workshop (18 hrs)

 

 

SEMESTER 2 (300 hrs over 12 weeks - 25hr a week)

TU 1 – French language (16 hrs a week – 192 hrs):

  • Language tools
  • Communicating in French
  • Cultural tuition

TU 2 – History of Western art and culture (4 hrs a week - 48 hrs):

  • Art, architecture, design history
  • Visits to cultural centres in France and the history of major art events in Europe
  • Interculturality

TU 3 - Preparation for the competitive entrance examinations (5 hrs a week - 60 hrs):

  • Artistic development
  • Theoretical development
  • Drawing up the application
  • Literature search
